A total of 255 students in Cagayan Valley qualified for the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) – Science Education Institute (SEI) Undergraduate Scholarships Program.

The Undergraduate Scholarships qualifiers will enjoy the full benefits of the scholarship for the whole duration of their programs of study which includes a monthly stipend of β‚±7,000; tuition fee subsidy of up to β‚±40,000 per academic year for those who will enroll in private institutions; β‚±10,000 for learning materials and/or connectivity allowance per academic year; one-time MS/PE clothing allowance; one economy-class round trip fare per academic year for those who will study outside their home province; group health and accident insurance; and thesis and graduation allowance.

 

π‘π€πŸ•πŸ”πŸ–πŸ• program, which provides for socio economically challenged students; b) 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐒𝐭 program, which gives chance to students with high aptitude in STEM. Both the 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐒𝐭 and π‘π€πŸ•πŸ”πŸ–πŸ• scholarship program aims to produce more Filipino scientists and engineers to support knowledge creation and economic productivity in the country.

 

Each qualifier shall receive a notice of award from the DOST-SEI or the DOST Regional Office stating the schedule of the Orientation on the Scholarship Policies and Signing of the Scholarship Agreement. The qualifier and parent/legal guardian must attend the orientation. 

Scholar-graduates of these programs are required to work along their fields of specialization in the country for a period equivalent to the length of the scholarship coverage.
