February 23, 2023 - The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Undersecretary for Regional Operations Engr. Sancho Mabborang and DOST- 02 Regional Director Virginia G. Bilgera visited Mengal Women's Organization Incorporated (MWOI) located at Echague, Isabela.
MWOI is a self-sustained Non-Government Organization founded by Echague Hon. Mayor Francis Faustino "Kiko" Dy and his wife Jessica Dy to support and help women who are maltreated by the society as well as those who have encountered abuse and undergoing depression and anxiety.
During the visit, Usec. SAM mentioned to provide technological efforts, directions and plan for this will give a significant assistance for women workers in the organization.
Aside from Usec. SAM and RD Virginia, DOST Provincial Director Lucio G. Calimag was also present during the visit in the said organization.
Moreover, DOST is progressively maximizing different platforms to capacitate not only the organizations but including those who are in the society's grassroots level.
