Cauayan City, Isabela- Through Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 02 in collaboration with Isabela State University (ISU) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cauayan conducted a meeting for the upcoming International Expo for Smart and Sustainable City, February 24, 2023.
Part of this activity is the presentation and discussion of the project proposal, plans and timeline of the activity. They were also commended by DOST Undersecretary for Regional Operations Engr. Sancho A. Mabborang and Regional Director Virginia G. Bilgera for coming up with plans that were apt, suitable and feasible for the event.
The determination of Cauayan City as the first Smarter and Sustainable City through DOST is now shaping a stronger international partnership and alliance. This forward-thinking was now being benchmarked by other institutions as this city possesses competency, and efficiency.
Present in the event were DOST Provincial Director Lucio Calimag, ISU-Cauayan Executive Officer Dr. Precila De Lima, Atty. Reina Consortia Santos, LGU Cauayan representatives and among others.
