Qualifications

1. General Qualifications

1.1 Filipino citizen, with good moral character

1.2. With no pending administrative, civil or criminal case

1.3. In good health

2. CSC Qualification

2.1. Bachelor’s Degree

2.2. 3 years supervisory experience

2.3. Career executive eligibility. In the absence of said eligibility, the candidate should be willing to undergo the process of obtaining eligibility within 1 year from assumption of duty

3. Additional Requirements

3.1. Educational qualification

a. Preferably with Master’s Degree and with 5 years supervisorial experience

b. Other academic and professional credentials

3.2. Professional experience and accomplishments

a. Administrative or managerial experience

b. Proven leadership qualities/potential in initiating and implementing programs

c. Established networking or linkages in current or previous positions

Job Description

The Regional Director for DOST VII shall provide leadership in the formulation of policies, strategies and implementation of programs/projects. He/She will be stationed at DOST VII, Lahug S&T Center, Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City and will directly report to the Undersecretary for Regional Operations.

1. Any individual who possesses the qualifications cited above may apply or be nominated.2. The following documents should be submitted:

a.Application letter or duly signed nomination letter indicating the name of nominee and justifications for nomination (indicating also the position of the person nominating);

b.Nomination letter should be accompanied by a letter from the nominee expressing his/her willingness to be assessed for the position;

c.Six (6) copies of curriculum vitae, listing three (3) references and addressing the selection criteria indicated above;

d.Applications or nominations must be received not later than January 15, 2014.
